"If you want to achieve anything in life, you have to work for it. Nothing is given to you." — Lucy Bronze (Best FIFA Women's Player of the Year, UEFA EURO Champion & 5x Champions League Winner) Sometimes, the final scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story. Last Thursday, our Bulldogs U11 Girls stepped onto the pitch at Prep for their very first SSL league matchup against STA. While the result didn't go our way, the performance, grit, and heart on display made every single supporter and coach immensely proud. From the opening whistle, the girls battled tirelessly. They fought hard to keep possession, pressed relentlessly to win the ball back, and refused to back down from a single challenge. Every tackle, sprint, and pass showed a team growing in confidence and character with every minute played. Football is a journey, and Thursday's match was a fantastic learning curve for the squad. The ultimate measure of a team isn't found in an easy win, but in the effort put in when facing a tough opponent. Every single girl gave 100% right up to the final whistle, and that dedication is all we can ever ask for. I am very pleased with every single one of you. It really is a great bunch of girls, so thank you! A huge shoutout to our squad: Home (C), Iris, Allie (C), Praew, Annie, Makayla, Jeanne, Por, Jolene, and Chada! We take the lessons from Thursday, hold our heads high, and look ahead. After half term, we go again! Keep training hard, keep working for each other, and keep practicing at home. Improvement comes with every single touch of the ball, and with this level of determination, the future is incredibly bright. Well done, Bulldogs! We are so proud of you!
