KosmoX Racing has successfully completed the STEM Racing Thailand National Finals 2026 (30 October - 1 November). It was a great opportunity to meet teams from different countries, peers and the organisers. I have attached the best pictures we have taken in those three days. Feel free to use the pictures for future slides to students and parents. The competition consists of three parts: The Racing, Pit Display and Verbal Presentation. The Racing: Each team gets to race four times using two differentcars of the same design. We are scored on the total time taken for our car to cross the finish line including the reaction time of our driver to press the ignition button. We chose our Finance Manager, Taro as our driver with a best reaction time of 0.164 seconds. Pit Display: This is the team's individual booth where they show what they have done so far, to show their sponsors and most importantly, their team identity. For our pit display, we put lightnings around the corner of the frame and the sides of the acrylic boxes. To the wall, we hung our boards which contained our team description. Furthermore, we put our past prototypes to the left and right of the acrylic boxes and a model of our final car design in the middle box which was on top of a rotating disc. Verbal Presentation: This part of the competition involves teams presenting to the judges under timed conditions (5 minutes for professional class and 10 minutes for development class) explaining the teams' process heading to the competition, highlighting innovations, reflecting on the journey and showcase partnerships. Summary of the three days:Day 1: We arrived at the Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel in Nonthaburi province. The first day was our only chance to build the pit display, which I personally think went really well. There were some obstacles during the building; however, we solved the problem through communication, teamwork and quick problem-solving. Day 2: This is the day for teams to show their best engineered car and race in the real STEM Racing track and the testament for the drivers' reaction time. For entry, development and professional class teams, day 2 is the day to decide the teams that will be competing in the knockout rounds. After the four races, the teams present the verbal to the judges in a separate room. Teams are judged on team contribution, meaning every member participates, the flow of the presentation and the contents. Lastly, the teams are directed to their pit display and interviewed for their contribution to STEM Racing. Day 3: The final day of the competition is where the knockout rounds are held. Fortunately, we have progressed to the knockout rounds, meaning we will be competing against the top 8 teams in development class. Achievements: 2nd place in the main race Unfortunately, we did not get hands onto any physical trophies since it was the most competitive STEM Racing Thailand competition ever (41 teams participating across all classes). From this experience, we will move on towards the next competition. I wish this encourages future peers who want to pursue their careers into the world of Motorsport.
