Invitation: Keynote Session with Ryan Parke – Supporting Male Mental Health - Tuesday 28th AprilDear Bangkok Prep Parents, We are pleased to invite you to 2 upcoming keynote sessions at Bangkok Prep featuring Ryan Parke, a renowned coach, TEDx speaker, and bestselling author who specialises in the critical links between lifestyle, hormones, and male mental health. These events will take place on Tuesday 28th April, from 08:10am - 9.10am for session 1: "The Darker Side of Dopamine" and session 2: "How to Help Him" at 4:00pm – 5:00pm, at Bangkok Prep, and is open to all members of the community aged 16 and above for session 2 and ages 20 and above for session 1. While it is widely known that 3 out of 4 suicides in the UK and Ireland are men, Ryan’s work brings attention to several lesser-known and thought-provoking insights:Beyond “Just Talking”: Research suggests that talking therapies alone may not be addressing the primary factors associated with male suicide.A Growing Gap: Between 2010 and 2022, the number of men accessing talking therapies increased by 50%, yet the male suicide rate also rose by 14%.Missed Opportunities: 91% of middle-aged men in the UK who die by suicide had contact with at least one frontline service or agency prior to their death.Ryan’s keynote will explore proactive, biological, and lifestyle-based strategies aimed at bridging these gaps and supporting the wellbeing of men within our community. We would be delighted to welcome members of the Bangkok Prep community to this important and engaging session.
