Bangkok Prep was delighted to host an inspiring PE and Sport Masterclass led by Dr. Andy Schillinger, whose impressive career has included roles in the German Bundesliga, the Thailand National Team and a range of elite professional sports environments. Now serving as Director of Rehabilitation at the Miskawaan Health Group, Dr. Andy shared his extensive expertise in physiotherapy, sports medicine and evidence-based rehabilitation with our student athletes and PE students studying iGCSE PE, A Level PE and BTEC Sport Level 2/3. The session provided students with a fascinating insight into the world of elite sports science and medicine, helping them better understand how to protect their bodies, optimise performance and recover effectively from injury. Throughout the workshop, students explored a range of key topics including Dr. Andy’s professional journey in elite sport, the physiology of tissue healing, the science behind the ice versus heat recovery debate, and the essential stages of safe and effective rehabilitation following injury. The event was both educational and inspiring, offering valuable real-world knowledge for aspiring sports scientists, athletes and future healthcare professionals. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Andy Schillinger for generously sharing his time, expertise and experiences with our students. His passion and knowledge made for a truly engaging and memorable masterclass.
